Meet Shannon

I began my journey at Pelican Lakes in 2010 and was instantly captivated by our stunning Island venue—after all, where else in Colorado can you have a true beach wedding? The beauty of this special place, combined with the energy and excitement of each celebration, has kept me passionate about weddings ever since.

What I love most about being part of these unforgettable moments is seeing the incredible teamwork that brings a wedding to life. From devoted parents and excited friends to talented vendors and our dedicated staff, there’s an undeniable sense of love and collaboration in the air. There’s nothing quite like the joy of knowing you played a role in creating a day that couples will cherish forever.

In 2016, my husband and I chose Pelican Lakes for our own wedding, and to this day, we can’t imagine having celebrated anywhere else—it truly feels like home. My degree in Liberal Arts from CSU has helped shape my creativity and fresh ideas for each wedding, allowing me to bring unique and thoughtful touches to every celebration.

I’m grateful to be part of the hospitality team at The Water Valley Company, supporting our stunning venues at Pelican Lakes and Raindance. With a background in sales and leadership across multiple industries, I’m passionate about connecting with people, understanding their vision, and helping bring it to life in meaningful and memorable ways.

Outside of work, I’m married to my best friend, Keenan, and we’re blessed with our little boy and our golden retriever. I love spending time outdoors and embracing the western lifestyle.

What I love most about weddings is witnessing the joy and love as two people begin their life together. It’s truly an honor to play even a small part in such a special day. I’m thankful for the blessings God has placed in my life and for the opportunity to serve others through my work.

The Island is a beautiful venue. I have had so many guests comment on how wonderful the setting was. One even commented that she is already planning her high school daughter's wedding there (haha). Shannon is the best, and she was always quick to respond when my husband or I needed anything. She is extremely detailed oriented, and had a very professional crew helping to make our day perfect. I would definitely recommend this venue- it was perfect.

Shannon & Jade were wonderful and so helpful during the entire wedding planning process! They made things so easy and were always easy to get ahold of and had many great ideas. We received tons of compliments on our venue and how beautiful it was at the island for our ceremony and reception. We also received several compliments on the food and drinks. I would highly recommend Pelican lakes as a beautiful venue and service that makes your planning easy and day extra special!

The wedding we had at Pelican Lakes Island was just beautiful and a huge success. The scenery was awesome and the grounds are kept immaculate. Jade went over and above our expectations. She is so easy to work with and is very prompt in her reply's. She was there at every step of the way and helped us through many hurdles. Pelican Lakes is very lucky to have her on their team! The whole staff was kind and helpful. The food was delicious the prices are very fair everything was as we hoped for. I highly recommend Pelican for wedding, reception or any event. You will love it!
